Autism Spectrum Disorder is the more broad label for anyone with mild to severe Autism. It includes Asperger's, PDD-NOS, and Rett's Syndrome for example.
Service dogs are used to aid people with various disabilities. Autism happens to be one of those disabilities. The dogs aid autistic people in completing daily tasks as well as alerting them in the case of an emergency such as a fire.
